Local Pickup (Highly recommended)

 

We highly encourage clients to pick up their completed artwork directly from our gallery in Venice, FL.

​

  • Cost Savings: Avoid expensive carrier freight rates, oversize surcharges, custom crating, and insurance fees.

  • Risk Reduction: Eliminate the risk of transit delays, handling damage, or loss associated with third-party shipping.

  • Personalized Inspection: Inspect your artwork in person upon handoff to ensure complete satisfaction.

 

We'll contact you when your artwork is ready for collection, and we'll be there to inspect it with you.

Shipping Options & Rates

 

If local pickup is not feasible, we ship via FedEx and UPS Ground services. The following information is provided as a guide, but we will provide an accurate shipping quote when you place your order. All prices/fees are subject to change without notice.

 

  • Contiguous U.S. Flat-Rate Standard (FedEx/UPS Ground): First Item: $16.50; Additional Items: $8.50 each

  • Alaska & Hawaii Flat-Rate Standard (FedEx/UPS Ground): First Item: $32.50; Additional Items: $16.50 each

 

Express (Overnight, 2-Day, 3-Day) and International (Priority or Economy) services are available on request.

Additional Handling, Oversize & Crating Fees

 

FedEx and UPS apply surcharges to large or delicate items. To ensure safe delivery, the following fees may apply:

​

  • Additional Handling Fee: From $50 per print (most sizes)

  • Oversize Surcharge: From $150 per print (larger sizes)

  • Custom Crating Fee: From $90 per print (rigid crating for high-value/large prints)

Declared Value & Transit Insurance

​​

  • For items valued over $100, full declared value insurance is strongly recommended and must be requested prior to dispatch. Carrier insurance rates are billed based on the total declared value:

    • Value up to $100: Included ($0)

    • $100.01 – $300: $4.20 flat fee

    • $300.01 – $1,000: $4.20 + $1.40 per additional $100 of value; for example, a print valued at $950 would incur a fee of $14

    • $1,000+ : We'll provide a quote when you place your order.

  • ​Note on High-Value Items: Claims for lost or damaged fine art during transit are subject to carrier inspection and strict guidelines.

 

Choosing local pickup completely eliminates insurance fees, carrier claim risks, and transit vulnerability.

 

Order Processing & Fulfillment Terms

Processing Time: Orders are processed within standard gallery business hours. Production and preparation times may vary based on custom framing or specialty printing requests.

​

Carrier Liability & Risk of Loss: All risk of loss and title for physical items pass to the customer upon our transfer of the shipment to the carrier (FedEx or UPS). Venice Blue Gallery is not liable for carrier delays, weather disruptions, damaged packages, or lost shipments once handed to the carrier.

​

Damage Claims: If your shipment arrives damaged, you must retain all original packaging and notify us within 48 hours of delivery to assist in filing a carrier claim.
